Nalgonda: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been taking visionary steps for the development of quality education in the state from KG to PG.

On Sunday along with Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and MP Gutha Sukender Reddy, the Deputy CM inaugurated a newly-constructed library building with an estimated cost of Rs 6.5 crore and CC roads laid at a cost of Rs 3.56 crore.

He also laid foundation stones for the construction of engineering college with an estimated cost of Rs 13.90 crore and for the construction of a college building with an estimated cost of Rs 6.34 crore in Mahatma Gandhi University of Nalgonda district.

After receiving memoranda from students and other associations, Kadiyam said all the vacancies in the universities of the State would be filled very shortly and advised students to utilise the available opportunities to settle in their lives.

District Collector Gaurav Uppal, MLC Rajeshwar Reddy, Ravinder, Nalgonda MLA Komati Reddy Venkatreddy, Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, VC Altaf Hussain and others participated. Meanwhile, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed his displeasure on the way the inauguration was carried out in the university.

He said government was ignoring genuine demands of students and informed that he would raise their issues on the floor of the Assembly.
