Durajpalli: Amidst of Vedic hymns , the biennial five-day Lingamanthula Jatara at Durajpalli of Chivemla mandal started on a grand note on Sunday.

Yadava elders of Menthaboina family and Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy performed special pujas to the Devarapette at Devara temple of Kesaram.

Later the Deverepatte (box that carries the idols) was brought to the Durajpalli Hillock in a grand procession in the midnight.
