Mahila TRS leaders slam Congress MLC Lalitha

​Nizamabad: District TRS Mahila leaders lashed out at Congress MLC Akula Lalitha in the town on Tuesday for making unwarranted comments against Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruti leader K Kavitha.

Speaking to the media, Zilla Parishad vice-chairperson Sumana Reddy said that the criticism against Kavitha was uncalled for. She said the Nizamabad MP was taking up several development activities in the district and it was unfortunate that Akukla Lalitha was indulging in criticism only out of sheer jealousy.

Sumana Reddy took strong exception to Lalitha’s remarks that feudalism has raised its ugly head in the new State of Telangana.

She wondered as to why Laliltha did not talk about feudalism while she was waging an agitation for achieving Statehood for Telangana.

The TRS government in the State was functioning democratically and there was no place for feudalism, she added.

The TRS Mahila leaders challenged the Congress MLC for an open debate on development in the Telangana State.

Armoor Municipal chairperson Swati Singh Babloo said that Kavitha was taking steps to complete the unfinished tasks of Congress leaders and she should be lauded for taking up the developmental works.

She said that Akula Lalitha lost her mental balance and that was why she was indulging in cheap criticism.
Municipal Corporator Vaishalini Reddy, several TRS Mahila leaders, ZPTC and MPTC members were present on the occasion.
