A spectacular sports festival “KHELOSTAV” was organised by Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimanagr. The event is initiated by the march past followed by the different tableau’s with the current themes and extra ordinary presentation made by the children to protect environment Digital India, Bangaru Telangana, Satellite and Robotics.

Mounika G the guest of honour who is also an ex-student of VRS and an international athletic shared her views that “sports are not part of education but sports itself is an education and she requested the parents to encourage their children in sports field”.
The Chief Guest stood as high motivation and inspiration to the students and people that M Srinivas Rao Arjun Awardee though physically handicapped and due to the encouragement and support of parents he learned Badminton and earned lots of prizes like National award of outstanding performance as the most efficient handicapped employee in 1994, He also got Bronze medal in men’s double wheelchair asian para Olympic badminton cup in 2004.
And he also emphasized that if one wants to be successful one should have determination, dedication and punctuality.
The Principal T Lalitha Kumari stressed that children are bundles of talents only required is to awaken their soul and also felt proud that the school has send many students to the national level to participate in basketball, kabaddi and judo etc and truly brought laurel to the school.
Later on the colourful and entertaining segment was held by various drills performed by the children like ribbon dance, saree drill, dumble drill etc, Every segment of the event was enjoyed and enthused by the parents and the guests.
The meticulous effort of the teachers at the back stage was reflected by the performance of students, finally it was concluded with great success and accomplishment.
