Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP K Kavitha launched a blistering attack against the Congress leaders for spreading falsehood against the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and TRS leaders during the Jana Avedana Sammelana.

Speaking to the media here on Monday after inaugurating a 33/11 sub-station at Navipet mandal, Kavitha said that the meeting looked more like a Congress Avedana Sabha as the Congress leaders like Digvijay Singh, Shabbir Ali, V Hanumanth Rao and others were in a highly despondent mood as they have no hope of coming to power again in the State. Congressmen were weeping as thy ewer out of power.

The Congress leaders were distraught and indulging in criticism against the TRS government out of sheer jealousy as they knew that they were not in a position to challenge KCR even in the 2019 elections and the Congress would be completely wiped out, she added.

The Nizamabad MP said that the Congress leaders were not reconciled to their present plight after losing power and were trying to create hurdles in the path of the development of the Telangana State.

She made light of the charges that her family received notices from the Enforcement Directorate and said that there was nothing to hide. The details pertaining to ED notices cannot be hidden and would be available on the website, she added.

Later, she unveiled the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar at the L K Farm. Kavitha participated in several development programmes in the city.

State Tourism Minister Chandulal, chairman of Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation Pervaram Ramulu and others were present.
