​Nalgonda: District Collector Gaurav Uppal ordered officials to make necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of intermediate exams, which would be held from March 1 to March 19.

On Wednesday, the Collector conducted a review meeting on inter exams with officials concerned at his camp office in Nalgonda.

Addressing the officials, Uppal said this year as many as 43,263 students were going to write inter exams in the district. Exam would be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon in 52 centres in 15 places across the district, he informed. Exams to be conducted on March 9 would be conducted on March 19 in view of MLC elections in the State, he said.

For smooth conduct of exams, sufficient staff with two flying and four sitting squads were arranged, he added. The Collector further directed the RTC officials to run buses according to the timings of exams for the convenience of students.

He advised Health department officials to arrange first aid boxes in all exam centres and directed police to arrange security arrangements during exams and impose Section 144 around the centres to avoid any untoward incidents at the time of exams.

DRO Khimya Naik, ASP Venkateshwarlu, district intermediate officer Hanumanth Rao and others participated in the meeting.
