Khammam: Condemning the arrests of TJAC leaders, the district secretary of CPI Bagam Hemanth Rao lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao stating that the latter was deceiving innocent people by not fulfilling the poll promises.

Speaking at a meeting held in Khammam on Wednesday, Bagam said, “Before going to elections, KCR assured that all sections of people would be provided with required basic facilities by implementing various welfare schemes apart from providing employment opportunities. But now when people are asking him to fulfil the election promises, he is trying to suppress them by using power.”

“Due to fear, the TRS government denied permission to the TJAC rally. When TJAC and the representatives of peoples’ organisations want to organise the rally in a peaceful atmosphere, the TRS government is trying to suppress them and thereby killing the democracy,” he maintained.

The CPI leader demanded the government to release the arrested leaders.
