R K Degree & PG college Kamaeddy is holding its annual day event on Tuesday at Raja Reddy Function Hall, Kamareddy. To be graced by Govt Whip and MLA Gampa Govardhan, the college celebrates its 15th year of excellence in the field of education.
RK Degree College to celebrate 15th annual day today
Kamareddy: R K Degree & PG college Kamaeddy is holding its annual day event on Tuesday at Raja Reddy Function Hall, Kamareddy. To be graced by Govt Whip and MLA Gampa Govardhan, the college celebrates its 15th year of excellence in the field of education.
Ably guided by the College Principal M Jaipal Reddy, the College has made progress by leaps and bounds during the past few years. From a student strength of 100 at the time of its inception in 2002, it rose to 2000 by this academic year making the college the ‘numero uno’ affiliated to Telangana University. “It’s a great experience to pursue degree in the college as it lays foundation for the future,” said old students who assembled here for the college day.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, Principal M Jaipal Reddy said that it would be a great experience both for the alumni and the present students of UG and PG with lots of opportunity for them to have fun and frolic for the whole day mingling with their pals and mentors. It would be great moment for us to see former students of our college come back and share their experiences.
The academic programmes of the college are in line with its vision and mission. This institution offers 16 UG and 2 PG Programmes for the benefit of students, many of whom hail from the nearby rural areas. The curriculum for all these programmes is designed by Telangana University, Nizamabad.
The students are mentored by the teaching faculty regarding the opportunities. English communication skills, soft skills, computer skills and analytical skills are imparted to all the students through Telangana Academic for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) batches every year to equip them with more employable skills.
The NCC and NSS units organize extension programmes and instil a sense of social responsibility and community development among the students. Selected NCC Cadets participate in Pre-Republic Day Parade at Secunderabad and Republic Day Parade at New Delhi.
The college has been conducting placement drive every academic year. Many of our students have been placed in various topmost MNCs like Infosys, Dell, Wipro, Karvy, ICICI and Amazon.
Academic programme of this college is a well-planned activity. This college promotes and monitors various activities for the quality education, all-round development of the students and for achieving its vision and mission. The lecturers are backbone of the college. They are motivated to pursue advanced studies to contribute to the overall growth of the institution.
