Man commits suicide at Prajavani in Nizamabad
Tragedy struck during the Prajavani programme in the city on Monday when one Gangadhar of Kammarpalli village, who came to meeting at Pragathi Bhawan committed suicide by consuming pesticides in the presence of the District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana, much to the horror of the onlookers. Â Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital but died while undergoing treatment.Â

Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital but died while undergoing treatment.
Gangadhar was distressed that the government took away his land, Survey No. 372/e at Kammarpalli for laying of a canal under the Choutpalli Hanmanth Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.
In his complaint, the deceased alleged that the Sub-Inspector of Police of Kammarpalli, Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) and the Morthad Sub-Inspector of Police were harassing him thereby, causing him a great deal of distress. He wanted justice to be rendered to him.
Although he met several officials of the Revenue Department, they were indifferent to his plight. He wondered as to how he could live if his land was taken away for laying of pipelines. On the way to the hospital he pleaded with the police to render justice to him.
