A week-long special drive will be organised to promote institutional deliveries, said District Collector Dr A Sharath.

He held a special meeting with officials of Health department at Sub-Collector office here on Monday. The Collector directed the officials to prepare a detailed report about the number of pregnant women present in the district and the number of vaccinations still to be given to them.
The officials were told to complete 100 per cent of ANC registrations along with giving 100 per cent of disease resistant vaccinations as part of the special drive linking the programme with the ‘Amma Lalana’ scheme.
The officials were also told to prepare a report about pregnant women according to sub-centres-wise along with immunisation details.
The Collector directed the officials to complete painting works in the government hospitals along with writing slogans on the compound wall and maintaining the hospitals premises neat and tidy.
Stating that funds were released to pay salaries to Asha workers till January, Sharath told the officials to pay salaries to them immediately without pending.
Joint Collector Dr A Nagendra, District Medical and Medical Health Officer and Deputy DM & HO were present along with health officials of medical department.
