Sircilla: The students were suggested to develop scientific and creative skills using modern technology to improve their knowledge.

District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar inaugurated the district-level science expo at Padmanayaka Kalyana Mandapam held on the occasion of National Science Day here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector told the students to develop interest in science subject right from school days and to conduct new experiments in detail for improving their reasoning power and to gain more knowledge.

By improving scientific method of approach and learning and concentrating on studies from childhood, the students could become great persons like that of C V Raman and Abdul Kalam.

District Education officer Radhakishan said that the district-level science expo was organised on the occasion of National Science Day, in association with RG Rao Trust for the students of from class 6 to 10, to teach them lessons in a scientific manner through various experiments.

He also said that drop-outs in government schools can be prevented by giving quality and scientific method of education to students by teachers working in government schools. Chairman and Managing Director of RG Rao Trust Damodar said their trust has been organising various programmes to improve creative skills among students of government schools.

District Science Officer Satish Kumar, District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, RG Rao Trust member NM Rajeshwari, Konaraoper MPP, MEOs and students along with teachers of various schools were present.
