Nizamabad: The Intermediate first year annual examinations commenced on a peaceful note in the district on Wednesday. As many as 39,245 candidates appeared for the examination at 43 centres.

The examination took place from 9 AM to 12 noon. The candidates reached the test centres well in advance as they were warned that they would not be allowed to sit for the examination even if they were late by one minute.

In order to prevent mass copying, GPRS system was installed at the test centres. Two members of the flying squad, three sitting squad members, a high-power committee, and DEC squad team members were involved in the conduct of the examination.
