Parkal MLA camp offices should work as grievance redressal centres
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has embarked upon construction of camp offices for MLAs to ensure their availability to local people, said Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary.
Parkal: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has embarked upon construction of camp offices for MLAs to ensure their availability to local people, said Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary.
He said the office-cum-residences for 104 MLAs in the State were being constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore each and it was a unique programme in the country. So far, the construction works of camp offices in 70 assembly constituencies is under progress.
At a programme in Parkal on Thursday, the Speaker along with Deputy CM K Srihari has inaugurated Parkal MLA’s camp office, the first one to be completed in the State. Addressing the gathering, he wanted the MLA camp offices to become public grievance redress centres.
Srihari also said the camp offices were meant to make available to the people of the constituency and expressed pleasure over inaugurating the first camp office at Parkal and appreciated the MLA, Ch Dharma Reddy’s efforts to complete its construction as per the schedule.
Kadiyam promised to extend his support in creating a new revenue division with Parkal town as its headquarters. He sanctioned Rs 2 crore to establish a junior college and Rs 30 lakh for renovation of tahsildar office in Parkal.
The works related to the proposed Textile Park were going on fast pace. Detailed project report was prepared and submitted to central government for its approval. In another one or two months, foundation stone for the park would be laid, Kadiyam informed.
R&B Minister T Nageswar Rao and Tribal Welfare Minister A Chandulal addressed the gathering. District Collector Prashath J Patil, who appreciated the contracting agency for completing the camp office in a speedy manner, wanted same spirit to be displayed in the construction of double bedroom houses and road works.
