Under lights 5K Run today
Startup Leadership Programme (SLP) Hyderabad Chapter is hosting the first under lights 5K Run in the city at IT Hub in Gachibowli on Saturday. Titled ‘Startup 5k Neon Run’, the event is organised to promote the cause of education of girls.

Releasing the commemorative poster Dronacharya Awardee, Nagapuri Ramesh said, “I take this occasion to appeal to everyone to join the run and do their part in promoting the education of girls.”
In a follow up launch at T Hub, Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications Department commended SLP and said girls continued to face discrimination in educational opportunities with a high drop-out rate in school years.
He hoped this run would create awareness and encouraged people to join in large numbers. “The government will extend all possible support,” he said.
Around 300 runners, including renowned entrepreneurs, many from well-known startups, will run for the cause and the fee is Rs 500 per head. The run starts at T Hub at 7pm.
