Krishna teams excell in state-level competitions
Krishna district teams have excelled and emerged winner and runner championships in state level sports and games conducted by Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) to mark the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar in Vizianagaram recently.

Krishna district Handball, Volleyball teams’ bagged first positions respectively and Girls Kabaddi team stood in second place.
In Athletics section Krishna girl Adilakshmi won first place in Long Jump, Lahari stood in second place in 200 mts running and Chandu had third place in 400 mts boy’s section.
District Sports Development Officer (DSDO) Md Sirajuddhin praised the district players for winning places in state level competitions. He said that Krishna district players have exhibited excellent talent in sports and games and won the medals.
The state government has announced New Sports Policy, which would very helpful to sports persons, DSDO said. The new policy would spot out the rural talented sports persons, he added.
