Khammam: The Telangana Praja Front (TPF) demanded the TRS fulfil its election promise of handing over three acres of land to Dalit and Tribal poor apart from providing double bedroom houses to shelterless people.

Speaking at a round table meet held with various peoples’ organisations here at Ambedkar Bhavan in Khammam on Monday, district secretary of TPF B Prabhakara Chary said before going to elections, the TRS party promised to give three acres to poor Dalits and Tribals along with allotting double bedroom houses to the people who do not have any shelter to live in. However, after coming to power, the ruling party leaders failed to keep the promise.

“By giving three acres only to some people and constructing few double bedroom houses in his constituency, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is boasting that the land was distributed and houses were given to all the people across the state. He is deceiving people,” he alleged.

“About 30 lakh poor farmers are present in the state who do not have any land. There seems to be no signs of TRS fulfilling the election promises even after two-and-a-half years of ruling,” he criticised.

He demanded the government to keep its promise and distribute land and allot houses as early as possible. Representatives of several peoples’ organisations attended the meeting.
