Yadadri: As part of ongoing Brahmotsavams of Yadadri temple, the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy with his consort, Goddess Lakshmi, was conducted on a grand note at Bala Alayam on Monday morning.

Amid vedic hymns and traditional music, and following the rituals of Agama Shastra, under the supervision of Temple chief priest Lakshminarasimha Charyulu, ruthviks and priests performed the celestial wedding of the Lord at a mandapam decked with flowers.

Temple trustee Narasimhamurthi along with Executive Officer Geetha Reddy presented silk clothes to the presiding deities.

Government Whip Gongidi Sunitha, District Collector Anita Ramachandran, Joint Collector Ravi Nayak, DCP Yadagiri, temple architect Anand Sai, local public representatives and devotees in large number participated.

Meanwhile in the evening, the wedding was once again performed on a grand note at ZPHS School grounds, located down the hillock. More than 10,000 couples and around 50,000 devotees participated in the event.

On behalf of state government, Minister for Endowments Allola Indrakaran Reddy presented silk clothes to the deities. On the occasion, Rachakonda police made elaborate arrangements for the safety and security of devotees.

DCP Yadagiri along with other top brass police officials monitored the security arrangements, while temple authorities made necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees during the celebration.
