The Warangal Police Commissionerate is leading the medals tally as on Monday in the ongoing second State Police Games and Sports Meet-2017.   

Hanamkonda: The Warangal Police Commissionerate is leading the medals tally as on Monday in the ongoing second State Police Games and Sports Meet-2017.

The players of the Warangal Commissionerate have won a total of 87 medals to stand atop in the medals count wherein they won 27 gold medals, 27 silver medals and 33 bronze as on Monday. Hyderabad City police have won 77 medals of which 35 are gold, 22 silver and 20 bronze medals.

Greyhounds contingent is standing at third place with 57 medals of which 21 are gold, 10 silver and 26 bronze medals. Cyberabad City police, CID, railway and ministerial could not any gold medal so far.

Meanwhile, hockey final match on Monday between Hyderabad City Commissionerate and Warangal Police Commissionerate ended in draw. On Monday, MLAs D Vinay Bhasker, Aroori Ramesh and Ch Dharma Reddy and KUDA Chairman M Yadava Reddy have presented medals to the winners of events held on Sunday.

The closing of the games and sports meet would be held at 4 pm on Tuesday at JNS Grounds in Hanamkonda. Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy, ministers A Chandulal and E Rajender would attend the closing ceremony along with DGP Anurag Sharma, besides a host of legislators and officials.
