Congress wins Regatte, Pagidimarri; TRS Ourawani MPTC seats
While Congress won both Regatte and Pagidimarri MPTC seats of Kangal mandal, TRS out powered in Ourawani of Narketpalli mandal in bypolls. The elections were conducted on February 7.

On Thursday, counting of votes was carried out at respective MPDO offices in the morning. In Regatte, Congress candidate Bharatha Venkatesham defeated TRS candidate Chintakindi Shankariah by 328 votes. Similarly in Pagidimarri, Congress candidate Kadire Yadamma won the election by 419 votes on her TRS rival candidate Avula Dhanamma.
In Ourawani, TRS candidate Muppidi Yellaiah defeated his rival Congress candidate Yekkula Eedaiah by 206 votes. Expressing his happiness over Congress candidates winning the seats, Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that people taught a good lesson to the defectors. Meanwhile, Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham felt that people has shown support to the ruling TRS by electing its candidate.
