Dichpalli (Nizamabad): Research scholars of Telangana University demanded the sanctioning of Rs 100 crore for the development of the University which was established in 2006 in the undivided State of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, youth Congress leader and research scholar Panchareddy Charan said that there was an urgent need to release Rs 100 crore for the improvement of infrastructure facilities in the Telangana University like the construction of new buildings for laboratories and library.

Facilities for research have to improved, he added. Charan said that after the formation of the Telangana State, the Telangana University has become a jewel in the crown of Telangana and there was an urgent need to improve the conditions for teaching and research so that the students here would have a bright career in future.
