Collector inspects status of Haritha Haram saplings
District Collector Gaurav Uppal examined the status of saplings planted on either side of NH-65 from Gundampally of Chityal mandal to Narketpally.

As part of Green Friday, the Collector along with DRDO Anjaiah and other officials inspected the status of saplings planted under Haritha Haram along the national Highway. At Gundampally, Uppal checked the growth of the sapling planted by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and watered it.
The Collector, speaking to media later, said to protect the saplings officials of line departments have been directed to spend some time to take care of plants every Friday.
He advised people to participate in the programme to save plants and restore eco-balance. DFO Shantharam, official of Department of Adult Education DD Venkateshwar Rao, Regette MPP Mallikarjun Reddy, ZPTC Dudimetla Sataiah, MPDOs Suresh and Kanthamma, Tahsildar Vijayalaxmi and others participated.
