Doctors asked to encourage institutional deliveries: Bhongir Collector
District Collector Anita Ramachandran directed the officials concerned to prepare plans to encourage institutional deliveries in the district.

Addressing doctors of Primary Health Centres and Area hospitals at a review meeting held at Collectorate on Friday, the Collector expressed her displeasure over the poor performance of PHCs and government hospitals in the district with regard to institutional deliveries.
She advised respective doctors to build confidence among public over the hospital services by rendering fair services to the patients.
Ramachandran suggested them to utilise the services of ASHA and Anganwadi workers for motivating women to go for institutional deliveries in the government hospitals.
DMHO Smabasiva Rao, DIO Paripurna Chary, Dr Jayalaxmi and others attended the meeting.
