​Khammam: Congress District Minority Unit President Tajuddin on Tuesday demanded that the government implement 12 per cent reservations to Muslim Minorities immediately.

The representatives of the District Minority Unit of Congress had a meeting with BC Commission member Gouri Shankar and submitted the memorandum to him seeking the implementation of 12 per cent reservations along with solving various problems faced by Muslims, here on Tuesday.

Speaking at the occasion, Tajuiddin said that more than 80 per cent of people belonging to Muslim community are living in miserable conditions without any jobs and are facing many problems.

He also said that many people do not have proper shelters to live in and are paying high rents by living in cities and towns.

He requested to allot double bedroom houses to all those homeless Muslim people. Responding to their request the BC Commission Member Gouri Shankar said that the government is determined for the development of the Muslim Minorities in the State.

He also assured that the government is taking steps for the implementation of 12 per cent reservations to the Muslim Minorities present in the State.

The leaders of the District Minority Unit of Congress Md Fazal, Md Ishaq, Chota Baba, S K Ismail, Sd Gouse, Shafi, Kabeer, Gore Miya, Zaheer, Bademiya, Shami and Mahammod Razi were also present along with others.
