VK Saraswat, a member of Niti Aayog and former Director General of the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), inaugurated the Rajaji’s Library and Cultural Centre recently at Rajaji International Institute for Public Affairs and Administration (RIIPAA), Bolarum, Secunderabad.

Rajaji’s Library and Cultural Centre has a library, reading room, cultural centre, yoga training centre, sports coaching centre and a research lab. It will also conduct regular musical concerts to give an opportunity for young artistes. It will also organise various programmes to promote art, culture, and literature.

“I’m very happy to inaugurate this library and cultural centre. I hope this venue will encourage the budding artists. We have seen many ups and downs in this institution. RIIPAA has provided many think tanks to India. Apart from cultural activities, the place also offers a platform to discuss various aspects of defence issues,” VK Saraswat said.

“Many personnel from Army and defence sectors are members of this institution. The institution also has set up a separate lab for youngsters and anyone can come and share their ideas. We are hoping to create some new innovations through this institute,” he added.

Y Srinivasa Rao, Scientist at DRDO, and N Ramesh, International Athletic Coach, also participated in the inauguration.
