​Kothagudem: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for Rs 7.52 crore ground level balancing reservoir at Gundugulapalli of Dammapeta mandal in the district.

Speaking after performing the bhumi puja, the Minister said that 100 litres of drinking water would be supplied to all households under Mission Bhagiratha scheme with effect from the forthcoming Telugu New Year (Ugadi).

He asked the officials to start work on 182 drinking water storage tanks sanctioned for Aswaraopeta and Dammapet mandals. Also, he wanted officials to fasten up works pertaining roads laying in Gundala, Charla and Venkatapuram. New bridges would replace the old road bridges wherever necessary, he clarified.

He assured to sanction CC roads to all villages. Whatever government programme is launched, it will be done from Aswaraopet, he said. He felicitated TRICOR Chairman Tati Venkateswarlu by presenting him with a shawl.
