Women will no longer have to trek miles for water: Jagadish Reddy
State Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy stated that problems of women in fetching drinking water from far off places would be permanently solved with the government flagship programme Mission Bhagiratha.
Suryapet: State Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy stated that problems of women in fetching drinking water from far off places would be permanently solved with the government flagship programme Mission Bhagiratha.
On Tuesday, he laid foundation stones for construction of over-head tanks and laying pipelines in Gumpula village of Chivvemla mandal, Patha Suryapet of Atmakur (S) mandal in Suryapet district and at Kattangur gram panchayath premises in Nalgonda district.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the ongoing rapid development in the State is the answer to the anti Telangana people and Opposition leaders, who have been challenging the government on its achievements in the last two and half years.
He said earlier leaders of this region completely neglected the development of Telangana and even did not spend the sanctioned funds for the welfare of respective constituencies.
In United Andhra Pradesh, Telangana leaders, who helped Andhra rulers to loot water, electricity and funds of this region, have no right to criticise the TRS government, which is going ahead with a clear vision.
He listed out various welfare and development schemes designed and carrying out by the State government. He ordered official of Mission Bhagiratha and line departments to pay special attention to complete all the works of the programme in scheduled time to fulfill the aspirations and expectations of the people.
Suryapet District Collector Surendramohan, Nalgonda Collector Gaurav Uppal, Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, Suryapet AMC Chairman Y Venkateshwarlu, Suryapet Mission Bhagiratha EE Madhubabu, RWS EE Mohanreddy, Nalgonda RWS EE Paparao, Venkatachary and local leaders participated.
