She was the chief guest at the Chaitanya Jyothi District Committee meeting in the conference hall of Mandal Parishad Development Office (MPDO) in Peddapalli on Wednesday.
Speaking at the meeting, the ACP said that women should come forward without fear to lodge complaint if they face any harassment in the society. With just one phone call or using whatsup or through web applications, harassment against women could be prevented. She Teams have been set up in every police station to give protection to women, she informed.
Sindhu Sharma urged the committee members to conduct such programmes at mandal and village-level and explain the women about how to use the services of She Teams and Hawk Eye.
Chaitanya Jyothi District Committee district president K Kavitha, District and Rural Development Officer K Anjaiah, Project Manager P Sunitha, Divisional Manager Padma, Peddapalli SI P Venkanna and She Team SI Vijaya were also present along with the representatives of Chaitanya Jyothi District Committee.
