Hanamkonda Collector wants science promoted among students
Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata has directed Regional Science Centre authorities to take up activities promoting science among students right from childhood. She on Wednesday visited the science centre in Hanamkonda and inspected the exhibits on display at the centre. ​Hanamkonda: Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata has directed Regional Science Centre authorities to take up activities promoting science among students right from childhood. She on Wednesday visited the science centre in Hanamkonda and inspected the exhibits on display at the centre. The Collector advised the officials to recruit required number of science guides to explain the visiting students about the exhibits.
Similarly, efforts should be made to see that students from neighbouring districts visit the centre. Besides promotion of science, seminars and conferences on education, literature, culture and traditions should also be conducted as frequently as possible, Amrapali said.
A calendar of programmes should be prepared addressing the interests of the students, teachers and common public. Campaign with the help of district educational officers of other districts should be conducted about the activities and exhibits at the centre, she suggested. District Tourism Officer M Shivaji, I&PR DD DS Jagan, the organisers of the centre Venkateshwara Rao, K Ramgopal Reddy and others were present.
