Six departments from the University college of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, organised a two-day national level technical fest called ‘Aakruthi’. Chief Guests for the event were Jagannath Nayak, RCI scientist and Gopala Krishna, NRSC. The fest was sponsored by Telangana Tourism.  

Hyderabad: Six departments from the University college of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, organised a two-day national level technical fest called ‘Aakruthi’. Fest hosted numerous technical events and workshops on various trending technologies like virtual reality, embedded programming. There were about 1000 students from colleges across the city witnessed taking part in several technical events and the deserving students were awarded cash prizes along with coveted internships.

Apart from the technical events there were also many entertaining events that kept the crowd engaged. And cultural night saw the student rock bands performing were the crowd swung for the music beats of the famous songs. Students also added a traditional touch to their fest by wearing the traditional attire on day one which was even more colourful at the campus.

The highlight of the fest was ‘Love OU Logo’ that was similar to the one installed on Tankbund in Hyderabad which says ‘Love Hyd”. The students have created a quadcoptor, persistence of vision display object as part of the fest. They have showcased their art skills apart from their technical skills.

Rahul chinthala, student organiser opines that, hosting large scale events like these helps students to hone their management skills apart from regular technical skills, sharing further “We volunteers and the coordinators of the fest have been working for more than a month to bring out the best. And am happy we have come up with great ideas for the technical day.”
