151 paddy purchase centres to be opened soon in Suryapet
District Collector Surendra Mohan informed that the State government\'s special attention in providing irrigation facility to the agriculture lands of the district through SRSP, NSP and Musi projects is going to give good yields in Rabi season.
Suryapet: District Collector Surendra Mohan informed that the State government's special attention in providing irrigation facility to the agriculture lands of the district through SRSP, NSP and Musi projects is going to give good yields in Rabi season.
Expecting yield of 4.18 MT paddy from 62,845 hectors, he informed that as many as 151 paddy purchasing centers would be established in the district for the benefit of the farmers.
On Thursday, the Collector held a meeting with Civil Supplies, IKP, Cooperative officials and millers at the Collectorate meeting hall.
Speaking on this occasion, he stated that both officials and millers must remember that the purpose of paddy purchasing centers must be served and should guide the farmers properly to get MSP for their produces. He directed the officials to avoid middleman’s role in paddy purchasing.
There will be stringent action against officials and millers if anything goes out of way during paddy purchase.
The Collector advised the officials to train the organisers of purchasing centers well in advance to tackle all the issues and make necessary arrangements at all procurement centers.
DPO Laxmi Naryana, DSO Anuradha, DRDO Kiran Kumar, Marketing AD, rice miller and transport association representatives participated and others participated in the meeting.
