Speed up land collection for irrigation projects
District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar ordered the officials of Irrigation, Revenue and Survey departments to speed up the works of land collection under Dr B R Ambedkar Pranahita Chevella Sujala Sravanthi (Dr BRAPCSS) Lift Irrigation Project-IX in Sircilla Rajanna district on Thursday.
​Sircilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar ordered the officials of Irrigation, Revenue and Survey departments to speed up the works of land collection under Dr B R Ambedkar Pranahita Chevella Sujala Sravanthi (Dr BRAPCSS) Lift Irrigation Project-IX in Sircilla Rajanna district on Thursday.
He chaired a review meeting with the officials of Irrigation, Revenue and Survey departments on the progress of land collection works under Dr BRAPCSS and Sripada Yellampalli projects at his chamber in the Collectorate on Thursday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Collector D informed the officials that out of the 2,189 acres of land only 1,113 acres was collected till date under Dr BRAPCSS project. Still 1,075 acres has to be collected. Of this works of 965 acres are at sub-divisional stage and the remaining 109 are at free notification stage, he briefed.
Complete land collections works as early as possible and pay compensation to those, who handed over their lands, he ordered.
‘There are 760 acres of land is at free notification stage under Sripada Yellampalli project. Still 661 acres of land should be collected. If there are any problems in acquiring lands, bring them to my notice and complete them at the earliest’
The Collector directed the officials to pay compensation immediately to those, who lost their lands and shelter under Mid-Manair Dam.
Joint Collector Yasmin Basha, District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, Officer on Special Duty Manohar, Rural Development Officer Pandu Ranga, Vijay Lakshmi, Nataraj, Venkateshwarlu, AD of S&LR Srinivas and Executive Engineers were also present along with others.
