Trade unions protest against HC decision
Trade unions of Singareni Collieries on Thursday organised protests in Bellampalli, Mandamarri and Srirampur divisions against the High Court order scrapping hereditary employment in the Singareni.

Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) organised a dharna in front of the Singareni General Manager office in Srirampur. HMS leader Peram Ramesh said Telangana Coal Mining Workers Union, which is affiliated to TRS party, had cheated the family members of the Singareni employees in a planned manner.
He criticised the State government for not taking appropriate decisions. ‘Singareni Karmika Biddala Sangham’ held rasta roko at CC corner in the district headquarters. It’s members blamed the transparency of the government for the situation.
Members of Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangam (TBGKS) burnt the effigy of rival trade unions member, who, they alleged, had blocked the appointments.
