Participating in the Prajavani programme on Monday, the Collector asked the Tahsildars to furnish him details of the number of Antyodaya Anna Yojana cards at the mandal level. He directed the Panchayat Raj executive engineer to speed up execution of two bed-room houses for the poor.

A local resident Bheemapaka Naveen Kumar, son of a junior assistant with the R and B Department Srinivasa Rao, submitted an application to the District Collector seeking job under compassionate grounds. Farmers of Illandupadu on the outskirts of Pandurangapuram in Burgampahad village sought pattadar passbooks to the lands being tilled by them for the past 20 years.

A resident of Bhagyanagar thanda of Karepalli mandal, Gugulotu Namita, who did her PG and holds a B.Ed qualification, sought job in any government department as she was not able to do anything because of her disability.

A tribal farmer of Paloncha mandal Bhukya Kishan sought compensation from Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS) management as the power plant discharged water- laced with fly ash in his fields directly. He also sought a job in the KTPS.

District Joint Collector Ram Kishan, District Revenue Officer Kiran Kumar, District Rural Development Officer Jagatkumar Reddy and others were present at the public grievances redressal programme.

Govt officials told to clear property tax dues Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu, expressing concern over the piling up of property tax dues of various government offices, directed the officials concerned to clear the dues as early as possible using the budgeted funds.

Addressing the public at the Prajavani programme, Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu directed the officials to take part in the Green Day which is being conducted on Fridays and plant the saplings planted under Haritha Haram programme.

The Collector asked the officials to visit the 89 nurseries to which the government supplied saplings. Hanumanthu also asked them to file reports regarding the number of saplings available and ensure that the saplings were watered on a regular basis in order to protect them in the summer.

Kothagudem Revenue Divisional Officer Ravinderanath and other officials were present.
