In a ghastly road accident that took place on the outskirts of Ramannapet of Bhongir district on Monday, CITU state council member and district general secretary Tirundas Gopi was killed.  

Ramannapet: In a ghastly road accident that took place on the outskirts of Ramannapet of Bhongir district on Monday, CITU state council member and district general secretary Tirundas Gopi was killed.

According to Ramannapet police, Gopi was travelling in his car from Bhongir to Nalgonda to attend a meeting at party district office.

When his car reached the outskirts of Ramannapet town, all of a sudden he lost control over the vehicle and hit a tree on the roadside. He suffered critical injuries and breathed his last while being shifted to Ramannapet hospital for treatment. After post-mortem, body was handed over to his family members.

Gopi, a native of Jaikesram of Choutuppal mandal, is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter. He had been with CPM for over three decades. Ramannapet police registered a case and further investigation is on.

CPM leaders Cherupally Seetharamulu, Nandyala Narsimha Reddy, Julakanti Ranga Reddy, Mudireddy Sudakar Reddy, Salim, Hasham, Banda Srisailam, Mallu Laxmi, Paladugu Nagarjuna, Nari Illaiah and others expressed their deep condolence to the bereaved family.
