Bodhan: A bandh was observed in the Bodhan town on Monday in response to the call given by the Congress Party in protest against the attack on its leader and former Minister P Sudarshan Reddy by the TRS workers. Going into details, Sudarshan Reddy came to Kandukurthi village in Renjil mandal on Saturday to inspect the lift irrigation scheme.

While he was returning, some of the TRS workers led by TRS leader K Sailoo obstructed Reddy’s convoy at Satapur junction and asked him was he was doing when the Congress was in power.

This enraged the Congrss workers who attacked Sailoo. The TRS leaders, in turn, lodged a complaint against Sudarshan Reddy and his followers who booked cases against the Congress leaders. Protesting against the action of the TRS workers, the Congress gave a bandh call in Bodhan town.

They went around in rallies in various localities urging the shopkeepers, commercial establishments and traders to down their shutters. Protesting against this, the TRS workers went around asked the traders not to shut down. They raised slogans against the former Minister Sudarshan Reddy.

Some of the Congress workers blocked the police jeeps by lying in front of them. The traders and businessmen in BOdhan said that they were in a state of confusion as they got conflicting signals from the Congress and the TRS.
