Bhongir Collector calls for speedy disbursal of crop loans

District Collector Anita Ramachandran informed that in 2016-17, district administration achieved 73 per cent of the targeted crop loans to the farmers in Kharif and it was increased to 87 in Rabi.
Bhongir: District Collector Anita Ramachandran informed that in 2016-17, district administration achieved 73 per cent of the targeted crop loans to the farmers in Kharif and it was increased to 87 in Rabi.
Addressing the bankers at a meeting held in Bhongir on Tuesday, the Collector said of the target of Rs 20,044 crore crop loans in Rabi season, 17,389 crore loans were provided to them from different banks in the district.
So far, 14,800 SHG groups in the district got bank linkage loans, she added. She advised bankers to complete the target of crop loans to farmers and grounding of loans to the selected small traders by various departments under the different government schemes within two weeks.
