Officials told to expedite Mission Bhagiratha works in Suryapet
District Collector Surendra Mohan directed the officials concerned to expedite and complete the works of Mission Bhagiratha by 2017, in order to provide safe drinking water to every household in the district.

The Collector on Tuesday inspected the construction works of water purification plant and pump works that were coming up at a cost Rs 29 crore and Rs 6 crore respectively, at Imampet of Suryapet mandal. He advised officials to bring in more labourers to expedite works and complete them at the earliest.
Setting the deadline of June for completion of all civil works, the Collector directed the officials concerned to finish the pipeline works by May end and works of Intra village in next three months.
He further asked the officials to submit daily reports and weekly video clippings on progress of works and bring to his notice any problems about pipeline works.
Mission Bhagiratha Superintending Engineer Chenna Reddy, EE Madhu Babu, DE Suresh, GVVR Construction Company GM Raheman and others took part in the meeting.
