Telangana govt committed to uplift of fishermen community

Mancherial: District Co-Operative Society President Sanjiv Reddy at an awareness programme here on Tuesday said that the government is committed towards the development of fishermen.

While addressing the gathering, he said that the government is paying special interest towards the welfare of the fishermen.

Reddy said that the government had handed over 70 lakh fish seedlings to the fishermen. He further said that the programme was organised to create awareness among the fishermen community.

He said that he was happy with the overwhelming participation of fishermen society members. District Fishermen Union President Tokala Rajamallu, Yadagiri, Srinivas and others participated in the programme.
