Nizamabad: Poverty coupled with born physical disability is driving a poor boy away from education. Though the government is enhancing facilities and monetary help to the students for seeking better education, the very motto is being diluted in some quarters.

This is about a 14-year-old physically challenged school boy, Komera Sai Kumar of Thimmapur in Morthad mandal. Undeterred by his disability, he wants to pursue further education.

But going to school is the main problem for him. His parents Komera Sayilu and Venkatamma cannot afford a tricycle. They approached political leaders and officials concerned to allot a wheelchair to their son to enable him to attend school.

But, the officials apparently shelved the representation ignoring the pleas for a wheelchair allotment. The couple have appealed to the government to come to their rescue by sanctioning a wheelchair.
