​Khammam: The City Unit Secretary of CPI, S K Janimiya, demanded the government to allot place for burial ground at Kothur.

He said people living in 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 divisions of Khammam city were facing lot of problems without burial grounds in their surroundings and has to go to Kalvaddu burial ground, which is 5 km away Janimiya along with otherparty leaders gave a memorandum to the AO Madan Gopal requesting him to take initiation for allotting a place for burial ground in Kothur, which would be nearer to all the people living in seven divisions.

He also requested the official to take necessary steps to prevent the problem of water scarcity, especially in newly-merged villages in keeping view of peak summer.

AO Madan Gopal assured the CPI leaders that he would take the matter to the notice of District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar and would try to solve the issue. CPI City Unit leaders Mekala Srinivas Rao and others were part of the delegation.
