Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration Naveen Mittal has asked the officials of all departments concerned to make historic Warangal city one among the best cities of the country. 

Hanamkonda: Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration Naveen Mittal has asked the officials of all departments concerned to make historic Warangal city one among the best cities of the country.

He wanted the officials of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC), Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA), the district administration, R &B and other departments to work in better coordination to develop the city as model city.

Mittal has on Friday, inspected ongoing developmental works taken up by the Corporation and other departments in the city. He was accompanied by District Collector Amrapali Kata and Municipal Commissioner Shruti Ojha.

On the day, he addressed the Smart City board meeting held at Hotel Haritha Kakatiya in Hanamkonda. He told the officials to prepare detailed project report (DPR) for the works worth Rs 100 crore as a part of the Smart City mission phase-I

The visiting official has promised to ensure administrative and financial clearances be given for the development works to be taken up under HRIDAY, AMRUT and Smart City Mission as soon as proposals were submitted to the government.

While executing the developmental works care should be taken that they reflect the rich cultural and historic heritage of Warangal. About Rs 1,200 crore to Rs 1,500 crore would be spent in the coming next three years on the development of the city.

MLA D Vinay Bhaske, GWMC Mayor N Narender, Warangal Rural District Collector, KUDA Chairman M Yadava Reddy, KUDA Planning Officer E Ajith Reddy and others were present at the meeting.
