Arrest culprits, students demand

Karimnagar: The government and the police were trying to divert the murder case of Manthani Madhukar to protect the culprits involved, the representatives of various students unions alleged.
The representatives of SUJAC, DSU, BSF, MSF and BVS have demanded postmortam of Madhukar’s body and to arrest the persons involved in the case.
They burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao even after police officials tried to interrupt them at the main gate of Satavahana University in Karimnagar on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the student leaders alleged that after the formation of separate Telangana attacks on dalits were increased in the State. Even after 15 days of Madhukar’s death, instead of arresting the culprits, the police officials registered a false case by threatening the relatives of Madhukar.
It is clearly evident in the pictures uploaded in social media how Madhukar was killed brutally by unidentified persons breaking his hands and legs and mutilated his private parts. But the police officials declared that Madhukar committed suicide and were trying to divert the case to save the culprits.
They alleged that TRS MLA Putta Madhu and his followers were involved in the murder case and demanded that the government should arrest him immediately and suspend the police officials, who are trying to divert the case.
Student union leaders Janardhan, Mahesh, Bhagya Raj, Rajashekar, Kumara Swamy, Ranjith, Santosh, Sadaiah, Suresh, Raju, Upendhar, Rashi, Ratna Prabha, Shirisha and Janaki were also present along with others.
