Officials told to examine implementation of welfare schemes in villages

Bhongir: District Collector Anita Ramachandran directed the officials concerned to go to villages and examine the implementation of government schemes under Grama Darshini programme.
On Monday, speaking at the convergence meeting of Grievance Day, Ramachandran directed the DRO, Mahender Reddy, to prepare a standard format of Grama Darshini to know the status of each and every government scheme in the district.
As part of the programme, officials have to focus on protection of saplings planted under Haritha Haram, attendance of job card holders of NREGS, functioning of Anganwadi and Sakshar Bharathi centres and strengthening of women groups in the district.
The Collector advised officials concerned to take proper steps to tackle drinking water issues in the summer and arrange required fodder and water to livestock in the district.
She appreciated Municipal Commissioner Venugopal Reddy for keeping Bhongir Munciipality in 5th position in the state in tax collection. Joint Collector Ravi Naik, DRDO Venkat Rao and district officers participated.
