Hanamkonda: The works for the TRS public meeting scheduled to be held in Warangal on April 27 have began with the Deputy Chief Minister, K Srihari, performing ‘bhumi puja’ at Prakashreddypet in Hanamkonda on Monday. Works like clearing of bushes, levelling the ground and digging up borewells were launched on the day.

ZP Chairperson G Padma, MLA D Vinay Bhaskar, Mayor N Narender, TS Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman P Sudarshan Reddy, KUDA Chairman M Yadava Reddy, TRS district president T Ravinder Rao, leaders G Ravi Kumar, M Sahodar Reddy, K Vasudeva Reddy, Yakub Reddy and others accompanied the Deputy CM.

Speaking to presspersons on the occasion, Srihari informed that a total of 1,000 acres land has been identified for the meeting at Prakashreddypet, of which 200 acres would be used for conducting the meeting.

The remaining 800 acres would be for parking of vehicles. It was expected that nearly 15 lakh public would attend the meeting that marks the 16th foundation day celebrations of the TRS. Drinking water, butter milk and medical aid would be made available for those attending the meeting.

The Deputy CM appealed the public in undivided Warangal district to turn for the meeting in large numbers as the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, was expected to explain the developmental and welfare measures planned during the next two years, besides the government’s achievements.

Later on the day Srihari held a meeting with the officials of police, revenue, GWMC, TSRTC, transport and other departments at Warangal Urban district collectorate. He asked the officials complete pending works related to roads and sanitation at Prakashreddypet and other places in the city at the earliest.

He wanted the officials to identify parking places for vehicles coming from Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Narsampet

and Mulug sides. The officials informed that works related to development of 25 traffic junctions were under progress.

Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu, Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata, GWMC Commissioner Shruti Ohja and TSRTC Warangal Regional Manager T Surya Kiran attended the meeting besides the Mayor, MLAs, Minister Chandulal and the ZP Chairperson.
