Khammam: City Unit Secretary of S K Janimiya demanded the government to allot double bedroom houses to the Muslim Minorities living in Paridhi village of Raghunathapalem mandal in the district.

Several party activists along with people from Muslim Minorities gave a representation to Tahsildar Sri Latha requesting her to allot double bedroom houses to the Muslim poor here in Khammam on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Janimiya said the before going for polls, the TRS party had promised to allot double bedroom houses to all shelterless poor people living in the state along with Muslim Minorities.

“Government must fulfil its promise by allotting 2BHK houses to Muslim Minorities of Paridhi village of Raghunathapalem mandal who are living in miserable conditions without proper shelter,” he said.

He demanded the government extend all welfare schemes introduced in the state equally to Muslim Minorities apart from implementing 12 per cent of reservations immediately.

Party leaders Mekala Srinivas Rao, Chamakuri Venkanna, Nune Sridhar, Chinta Suri Babu and Akbar were part of the delegation that called on the Tahsildar.
