Anganwadi centres asked to work half-day
The Anganwadi Teachers and Helpers Association (ATHA) state president, CH Seetha Mahalakshmi, informed that all the Anganwadi centres present in the State will function for half-day from Tuesday like that of government schools.
Khammam: The Anganwadi Teachers and Helpers Association (ATHA) state president, CH Seetha Mahalakshmi, informed that all the Anganwadi centres present in the State will function for half-day from Tuesday like that of government schools.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, she said the State government had issued orders to open all Anganwadi centres across the State for half-day only, from 7 am to 12 noon, in response to repeated appeals by ATHA representatives.
She urged the officials not to exert pressure on Anganwadi teachers and helpers for running full day ignoring the government orders and requested the officials to take initiation for issuing orders further for summer vacation after April 23, keeping in view of severe heat conditions that may prevail in peak summer of April and May.
