Bhadrachalam: What happened to the Rs 100 crore announced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao exactly a year ago, on Sri Rama Navami day last year, and when is he going to release funds for the development of the temple town? Still remain unanswered for the devotees as there has been no action from the government side post CM’s announcement.

Barring the visit of architect Anandsai, temple Sthapati Vallinayagan and other engineering officials as part of an exercise to prepare the action plan for development of the temple and temple town, there has been not any other significant follow up action in this direction.

The Chief Minister, apart from announcing Rs 100 crore, had assured the people to undertake a visit to the temple town within a week along with seer China Jeeyar Swamy to work on the temple’s master plan.

As the district administration has no say in the above affairs, doubts are raising in the minds of devotees over temple’s development. The temple development will get a new lease of life provided Pichukalapadu, Yetapaka, Kannaigudem, Purushottapatnam and Gundala are merged with the temple town.

There was criticism against K Chandrashekar Rao that he has not been initiating concrete steps to get the merged villages back. They are now even suspecting the credentials of Chandrashekar Rao and want to know “Whether the CM is really interested in Bhadradri’s development? Or is it a mere publicity stunt?”

However, the TRS leaders say that Bhadradri and Yadadri were like two eyes for the Chief Minister. Admitting delay in development of the temple and temple town, the TRS leaders exuded confidence that there is every chance that the Chief Minister would announce funds more than Rs 100 crore.

Meanwhile, the people are eagerly awaiting the response of the Chief Minister, who would be visiting the temple town on Wednesday for celestial wedding. They are curious about the statement to be made by the Chief Minister after the recent deliberation on changes to be effected to the master plan suggested by China Jeeyer Swamy, Anand Sai, Vallinayagan, R & B Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and legislator Jalagam Venkat Rao.
