​Khammam: Stating that Sathupalli will be developed on all fronts, Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said that the government has sanctioned Rs 704 crore for the works of Sathupalli railway line, which would begin very soon.

The Minister laid foundation stones for road laying works from Narayanapuram to Sarubatlagudem of Sathupalli mandal and for construction of high-level bridge on Thammileruvagu in Duddepude village of Vemsur apart from construction of about 60 double bedroom houses in Venkatapuram village of Vemsur mandal.

On the day, Tummala also handed over about 2,777 Sada Bainama pattas and also the cheques of Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak to about 87 members in Narayanapuram of Sathupalli mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government was determined to develop Sathupalli by laying roads and also construction of high-level bridges, apart from constructing check dams for storage of water.

“Mission Bhagiratha works will be completed by next Ugadi for providing safe drinking water to every household,” assured the Minister. Sathupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadepalli Kavitha, DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu and other prominent persons accompanied the Minister.
