Nizamabad: District Dalit-JAC Armoor in-charge Rajaram Yadav alleged that atrocities against the dalits and the downtrodden sections of the society and honour killings have increased after the formation of the TRS government three years ago in the State of Telangana.

Speaking to the media at the Roads and Buildings guest house in the city on Monday, he said that it was highly unfortunate that the father of a dalit, who was the sarpanch of Amrabad village shot his son dead as he married a girl of lower caste against the wishes of the father. The civilized society should hang its head in shame, he added.

Rajaram Yadav lashed out at the Nizamabad MP K Kavitha for not visiting the victim’s family to console them even after three months of the murder in the name of honour killing. He demanded the suspension of the Sub-Inspector of Police Ramanaidu for being negligent in his duties.

He also said that that those responsible for the murder should be severely punished. There was no safety to the poor, the downtrodden, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and the backward classes in the State, he lamented.

Rajaram Yadav lamented that there was no rule of law in Telangana State and there was a constitutional breakdown in the State.

He said that the Political-JAC and the Dalit-JAC would jointly organize a dharna at the mandal revenue department office in Makloor. District Dalit JAC president Gangadhar and other TDP leaders were present on the occasion.
