Tributes paid to Jyotiba Phule

​Mancherial: District Collector R V Karnan called upon people to follow the footsteps of social reformer Jyotiba Phule.

He participated as a chief guest along with local legislator Nadipalli Divakar and MLC Puranam Sathish Kumar at the 191st birth anniversary celebrations of Jyotiba Phule held at a convention hall here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion he said “The government is encouraging cast based occupations, sheep raring and cagy culture. The government has been implementing many schemes for uplifting the downtrodden,” he added.
